At the Biennale, the exchange of views and ideas of all participants is marked as the most important element of the week. Therefore the schedule allows time and space which are filled with planned activities on the one hand, and designed as an open platform on the other in order to create open spaces for talk and thought.
The Kampnagel Foyer has been completely redesigned by the artist collective umschichten, thus creating space for getting to know each other and exchanging ideas. There are separees that invite you to linger, a Pleasure&Pain massage and physiosalon where you can relax, rehearsal and performance rooms for rehearsals. Creating and protecting spaces for exchange is the top priority of this year’s biennial. Networking can only be done in direct contact, and only in direct confrontation can existing structures be checked from a global point of view.
There will be many opportunities for exchanging ideas during the course of the week, but after the lunch break every day, an hour is exclusively planned for encounter.
